Eurospace Contribution to European Commission’s European Defence Industry Consultation

On September 13th 2023 in front of the European Parliament in Strasbourg, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen delivered her State of the European Union (SOTEU) address. As part of her speech she announced that the European Commission would propose a European Defence Industry Strategy, to be presented in the first quarter of 2024.

In October, the European Commission launched a comprehensive consultation process with stakeholders aiming to deliver a European Defence Industry Strategy.

As part of this consultation, the European Commission issued 5 papers with questions to stakeholders.
