Understanding and shaping the requirements and regulatory landscape

Eurospace supports its members in navigating complex regulatory and standardisation challenges that affect the space sector. Industrial standards are at the heart of any industrial process, and space is no exception. The main system used in the European Space sector is ECSS (European Cooperation for Space Standardization). Eurospace provides a coordination between industrials that is key in ensuring that the European space sector work with a set of competitive and adapted requirements while leaving room for innovation and new technologies.

Eurospace also monitors key regulations affecting the European Space sector, the most important of which is REACH (Regulation on the registration, evaluation, authorisation and restriction of chemicals), to understand their impact on the industry and which alternatives are possible in case of restriction.
